01What we build
Our tools focus on common home-project calculations such as area, material quantities, waste allowances, package requirements, and unit conversions.
Each calculator is built around a specific job instead of trying to combine unrelated estimates into one complicated tool.
02How our calculators work
Calculations are based on the measurements and options you enter. Where appropriate, the result explains the formula, assumptions, conversions, and rounding used to produce the estimate.
We also test the underlying calculation logic separately from the page interface so that changes to the design do not silently change the math.
03Designed to be transparent
A useful calculator should do more than display a number. Whenever a result depends on waste, packaging, exclusions, or another project choice, we aim to make that choice visible instead of hiding it inside the calculation.
Our guides also explain how the estimate was produced so you can check whether the method fits your project.
04Built for planning, not professional inspection
HomeMeasureWorks provides planning estimates based on the information entered into each calculator. Actual project requirements can vary because of installation methods, product specifications, site conditions, measurement error, and local requirements.
For important purchases or construction decisions, verify your measurements and follow the relevant manufacturer's, installer's, engineer's, or local authority's guidance.
